Nova Fides was founded in 1967 in the heart of the Prato textile district. Giuliano Calabresi, together with a group of partners, built a factory in which only the wool fulling process was carried out but, thanks to the economic boom, the company rapidly expanded its business.
Today Nova Fides carries out every phase of production, from the raw material to the finished product and since 2011 has specialized in the recycling of fabrics, a skill that is part of the company's founding values.
All phases, carried out internally or externally by qualified suppliers, are managed using sophisticated computer programs that provide complete information on the fabrics.
The internal laboratory is one of Nova Fides' strengths. Highly specialized staff tests the quality of the products, and all fabrics are accompanied by a technical data sheet. The laboratory is also officially recognized by some brands as a certified partner.
60 years of company history are preserved in the Nova Fides archive, where the samples and fabrics created over the years provide creative inspiration to the company's customers and the designers who wish to consult it, allowing them to reinterpret in a new way trends from the past that often return.
