Nonna Delfina was born almost a hundred years ago in a farmhouse downstream of the Medici Villa "La Ferdinanda". In the forties she began to prepare dinners for hunters who came to hunt in the Reserve and at the end of the fifties, when tourists started to visit the Medici Villa, her house became a welcome stop for them. The success was so tangible that she decided to turn her home into a restaurant that she grew and improved, so much so that it became the famous restaurant that it is; today the place is run by the family. During all this time the restaurant had famous customers such as Ardengo Soffici, Gilberto Bernardini, Quinto Martini, Arrigo Rigoli, Prof. Sabin, Salvatore Quasimodo and many others than can be read in the signature register.
