Quinto Martini Studio House Discover the place where Quinto Martini drew inspiration for his works

The Quinto Martini Studio House, located in Seano, is a unique place a few steps from the Museum Park dedicated to the artist where 36 bronze statues and bas-reliefs are exhibited, the result of his genius. This place, imagined as open, inclusive and accessible to all, offers a wide collection of works of art, from sculptures to paintings to plaster and concrete casts. Some of his creations are on display at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg and at the Twentieth Century Museum in Florence.

Quinto Martini (1908-1990), son of farmers, shaped the mud of the fields to create animal shapes. The meeting in 1926 with Ardengo Soffici was fundamental for him. Soffici recognizing his talent, encouraged him and became his mentor. His works speak of the vitality of the earth, the poetry of nature and the daily life of ordinary men and women.

The visit to the Studio House, where the works and tools of the trade are displayed in an evocative way, offers the opportunity to get closer to the great sculptor and painter, but also to get to know better the man and the artist who hid behind the works .

It is possible to book the visit on the second and fourth weekends of the month (phone. 338.6335362, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
